Crime Victim Advocacy Services Delivering compassionate and comprehensive advocacy services to empower and support victims of crime in Thurston County.

SERVICES WE CAN OFFER:
Victims of crime need a variety of support systems to help them deal with the physical, emotional, financial and legal consequences of their victimization. In response to these needs we offer:

-Crisis intervention and help coping with the trauma of violent victimization
-Assistance filing Crime Victim Compensation claims and insurance forms
-Direction to help access medi

cal and/or mental health services
-Advocacy within the criminal justice system
-Striving to ensure victims' voices are heard and that their opinions are considered
-Assistance completing Victim Impact Statements
-Crisis intervention including 24-hour access to an advocate at 1-866-711-2826
-Guidance through the criminal justice process
-Accompaniment to court proceedings
-Referral to other support services available throughout the community
-Personal Systems Advocacy – Acting in support of victims with public service providers, creditors, employers, insurance companies, utilities providers, etc
-Information on applying for restitution
-Assistance in the Return of Personal Property that may have been taken by law enforcement as part of an investigation. TYPES OF CRIME ADDRESSED BY ADVOCATES:

Direct services for Victims of Domestic Violence, and Sexual Assault, and Stalking Crimes are not part of our program, however, we will gladly refer victims of these crimes to any services that are needed.

Meet part of or Crime Victim Services Team, Marshal!

Marshal is 11 years old and has been helping his community in Thurston County since 2015.

Marshall provides comfort and supports for victims of crime as they navigate the criminal justice system.

Thurston County offers many services to victims of crimes and is part of the Courthouse Facility Dog Program.

This rebrand reflects the heart of what we do—delivering compassionate and comprehensive advocacy services to empower and support victims of crime in Thurston County. While our name and logo are changing, our mission remains the same. Our dedicated team and the vital services we provide are as strong as ever.

This year's theme calls upon communities to amplify the voices of survivors and create environments where survivors have the confidence that they will be heard, believed, and supported. Our teams of Victim Advocates provide this service to crime victims in Thurston County every day.
