The 2026 Thurston County 4-H Horse Tack Sale is happening TODAY (Saturday, May 30) starting a 10 AM - 2 PM at the Fairgrounds!

Come check out a great selection of saddles, bridles, blankets, and equestrian gear. It’s family-friendly, free to attend (donations welcome), and a fantastic way to support our hard-working 4-H members as they prepare for the summer showcase season.

Calling all artists! Showcase your artistic ability and enter the 2026 Thurston Art Contest.

The theme for the contest is, “Thurston in Motion.”

Capture the energy and movement of Thurston County, including its changing seasons, active communities, and evolving landscapes. From flowing waters to open prairie and forested paths, artists are encouraged to interpret what makes this region feel alive and in motion. Deadline to submit artwork is May 29, 2026.

New opportunity for nonprofits in Thurston County to save money and reduce waste at the same time! ♻️

The HazoHouse Reuse Program gives approved 501(c)(3) nonprofits free access to usable products such as household cleaners, soaps, detergents and automotive cleaners and oils — supporting local while keeping usable materials out of the waste stream.
