Washington State Combined Fund Drive The Washington State Combined Fund Drive has been making a difference in our community since 1984.

Established in 1984, our mission is to empower all Washington public employees and retirees to strengthen their communities through the funding and support of charities. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s Well-Fed, Well-Read food and goods drive. Together, we collected 6,886 books, 4,392 lbs. of food, and $1,540 in monetary donations in support of Thurston County Food Bank and South Sound Reading Foundation. 📚🥫

Congratulations to our agency competition winners, the Office of the Secretary of State, for contributing the most donations with 1,785 books and 1,922.55 lbs. of food, and to the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, recipient of this year’s WOW Award.

Last week, WA Secretary of State Steve Hobbs joined us for a special check presentation honoring two of our member charities, Whatcom Community Foundation and Community Action of Skagit County, for their incredible work supporting Washington flood victims. Their dedication helped bring critical relief and resources to communities during a time of urgent need.

Thanks to Amazon.com 's generous $1 million contribution to the CFD Disaster Relief Center, relief efforts were able to reach impacted communities when support mattered most. We’re grateful for this partnership and proud of the impact we’ve made together.

Our Well-Fed, Well-Read food and goods drive agency competition is back!🥫📖 From April 1–15, compete with fellow state agencies to collect the most children’s books and non-perishable food.

All donations support the Thurston County Food Bank and South Sound Reading Foundation and their missions to fight food insecurity and improve children's literacy. Let the friendly competition begin!
