Last Thursday we partnered with Franklin Street Harm Reduction to hold a pop-up bike repair event. We provided repairs ranging from flat tires to brake replacements. Powered by our amazing volunteer crew, we chatted with folks about their bikes, as well as the classes and events that Walk N Roll holds to help riders better understand and maintain their bicycles.

Would your organization benefit from a bike repair pop-up? If so, email us at [email protected], and let’s get rolling together! ☀️ 🍃 🚲

Thank you to everyone who attended one of our nights of Bike Art at Arbutus Folk School! Over the course of two evenings, participants recycled a retired Bicycle Commuter Challenge banner and BCC stickers into one-of-a-kind bicycle reflectors and re-used bike parts from the Walk N Roll Educational Bike Shop to create unique keychains and bracelets. Arbutus donated their front classroom for the events and provided plenty of indoor bike parking for those who cycled there!

Intercity Transit’s Bicycle Community Challenge comes to an end on May 31. Finish strong with a few more rides and log your final miles by June 7 to ensure they are counted in your individual and team totals. After June 7, tune into the BCC website (bcc.intercitytransit.com) to view the final results. Coupons and prizes will be mailed out to participants and raffle winners the second week of June.

Just because the BCC is ending, doesn’t mean that you need to stop riding your bike! As we head toward summer, continue cycling for all of its usual benefits and visit intercitytransit.com/walknroll to view more upcoming events.
