The Great Olympia Bike Rodeo is this Saturday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Garfield Elementary! 🎉🚴‍♀️
This event is all about bike safety, confidence, and fun for kids and families. It features:
• A mobile traffic garden 🛑
• A skills course
• Helmet fittings, safety games, and giveaways

Focused driving saves lives! Distractions like cell phones take your eyes away from the road, creating a high level of risk for you, your passengers, and other travelers on the road.

The number one thing you can do to help is put your phone away while driving. And help others do the same.

In 2022, nearly 8,000 older adults (65+) lost their lives in traffic crashes, making up 19% of all traffic fatalities in the U.S. As we age, changes in physical, visual, and cognitive abilities can make us more vulnerable on the road. But with proactive steps, we can help older drivers stay safe and maintain their independence.
