Nisqually Vice Chair Cheebo Frazier is featured in the Evening Magazine piece highlighting the Washington Indian Gaming Association's scholarship program that has given $1.4 million in scholarships since 2006 to tribal students. Frazier beneftied from a scholarship and now has a doctorate in education as well as a master's degree in business administration.

from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug 14
and Friday Aug 15.

The Nisqually Indian Tribe, as host, closed out the night with their songs and dances and as the dawn of Thursday, Aug. 6 appeared, they gifted those in attendance and transfered the totem stick signifying host duties to Saxman for 2027 in Alaska.

A joyous week of Potlatching and enjoying visiting, songs and dances ended at dawn on Aug. 6 with Nisqually, as host, finishing their protocol and gifting all those in attendance and passing the host stick to Saxman for 2027. Many more to come.
