🎉🎪 HANSEN SPRING CARNIVAL 2026 🎪🎉

Get ready for one of the biggest community events of the year on Friday, June 5 from 5-8 PM at Julia Butler Hansen Elementary! This year’s carnival is PACKED with amazing community organizations, activities, games, prizes, food, entertainment, and for the FIRST TIME EVER… TWO FOAM CANNONS! 🫧💦

Bring:
✔️ A towel
✔️ Clothes you don’t mind getting covered in bubbles
✔️ A change of clothes for after the foam fun

Most activities at the carnival are FREE! Food and our silent auction are the only things that require money. We are working hard to make this event accessible and fun for all families in our community. ❤️

Come see us tomorrow!

We can't wait to see you tomorrow at the Great Olympia Bike Rodeo! Join us from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Garfield Elementary School for bike safety education, music, snacks, and family fun! Come check out the Mobile Traffic Garden, go on a short bike ride, and travel between our many exciting and engaging stations. This is an all-ages event but best suited for youth pre-K through 8th grade with all levels of biking abilities. Participants are invited to arrive with their own bike or scooter and helmet. The bell toll is a ceremonial tradition during National Police Week and National Peace Officers Memorial Day. It is performed at memorial ceremonies across the country—such as events in Washington, D.C. and at the Washington State Law Enforcement Memorial on the Capitol Campus—where a single bell is rung to signify a fallen law enforcement officer’s final tour of duty and ensure they are never forgotten.

The annual Capital City Marathon is back with a weekend full of activities and fun including the Run Fair and Kids Run on Saturday, May 16 and the big runs on Sunday, May 17. Help keep runners, spectators and other road users safe by taking alternate routes, avoiding the race route, or giving yourself extra time to get around town.
