On Military Spouse Appreciation Day, I’m grateful for the military spouses who:
- bring their resiliency to our Washington State workforce
- volunteer in our communities
- are our neighbors, friends, and classmates
- advocate for our military and veteran-connected communities even when they are tired
- answer the call - whether it’s to show up for an event, serve as the emergency contact or bring a meal to a new mom
- keep the homefires burning

And they do all of this with grace as they face multiple moves, deployments, living away from family/friends, unemployment, and other challenges that come with this lifestyle.

Thank you to the change makers who recognize and appreciate our military spouse community.
