💜💛 A big thank you to Flowers on Main! 🌷🌼🌹
Students enjoyed learning about the dedication, creativity, and hard work involved in owning and operating a local small business. They were especially excited to watch a beautiful flower arrangement demonstration and see firsthand the artistic skills that go into floral design. We are grateful for community partners like Flowers on Main who take the time to invest in our students and inspire future entrepreneurs and creators. 💐✨

🚒🔥 Thank You to Our Volunteer Fire Department! 🔥🚒

A big thank you to the Blair Volunteer Fire Department for taking the time to visit D.S.E.S. and speak with our students about the importance of fire safety and the vital role volunteer firefighters play in serving our community.
Students enjoyed learning valuable safety tips and gaining firsthand insight into the dedication, teamwork, and commitment required to protect others. Experiences like these help our Bobcats explore future careers and develop an appreciation for those who selflessly serve others.❤️🚒🐾💜💛

💜💛 A Special Thank You to Our Former Bobcats! 💜💛
We were thrilled to welcome Lyric and Lauren, our former students, back to D.S.E.S. to share their experiences in cosmetology school and talk about earning their cosmetology licenses. Students loved the sweet treats and fun hair tinsel! ✂️💇‍♀️💅
They also heard firsthand about the dedication, hard work, and opportunities available through pursuing a career in cosmetology, as well as the many elements involved in running a business. We are so proud of these young ladies for all they have accomplished and appreciate them taking the time to inspire our students and show them one of the many exciting paths to success.

Our DSES Bobcat Summer School students had an exciting and educational visit from Sheriff-Elect Timmy Phillips! Students enjoyed learning about the history of sheriffs in Roane County, the important jobs law enforcement officers perform each day, and the special bond between K-9 officers and their handlers.

The visit was full of fun, interesting stories, and hands-on learning that kept our Bobcats engaged from start to finish! Students loved discovering how officers help keep our community safe. A big thank you to Sheriff-Elect Phillips for taking time to invest in our DSES Bobcats and make learning so memorable!

Our Summer Learning Camp students had a paws-itively wonderful time learning from the local animal shelter team!🐱🐶 Thank you for visiting D.S.E.S. and sharing the important role your organization plays in our community by caring for animals, promoting responsible pet ownership, and helping pets find loving homes.
The highlight of the day was getting to meet some adorable kittens! 🐱 Our students loved learning about animal care and had so much fun interacting with these furry friends.

A big thank you to Mrs. Carmen Ward for visiting D.S.E.S. and sharing her amazing snakes with our students! Our Bobcats enjoyed an informative and engaging presentation about reptiles, where they learned fascinating facts about these unique animals and their important role in nature.

Our Bobcats had a wonderful opportunity to learn from representatives of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency! Students enjoyed an engaging presentation about animals native to East Tennessee and learned important tips for staying safe around water this summer.
