🎥 Your Chamber President & VP have been BUSY today! 👏😂

President Crystal Branham and Vice President Jennifer Madden have been making their rounds around Olive Hill! After checking out The Pink Poppy Boutique & Attic Treasures, they headed over to help celebrate the GRAND REOPENING of the Carter County Public Library! 📚🎉

They’re still settling into their new space, but they’re officially open and ready to welcome the community! ❤️

👏 A HUGE THANK YOU! 👏

We want to give a very special thank you to Charlie Holland with Stephens Farm Supply for jumping in and helping get things ready for Bigfoot Festival! ❤️

After the torrential rains we’ve had over the past two days, we were left with some pretty impressive “ponds” throughout the festival area. 🌧️💦 Charlie didn’t hesitate to step up, bringing his personal equipment along with his employee, Eddie Reynolds, to help spread gravel and alleviate the standing water.

Thanks to their hard work, the vendors and everyone coming out to enjoy Bigfoot Festival tomorrow will have a much better place to set up, walk around, and enjoy the day! 👣🌲

This is what community is all about—seeing a need and jumping in to help without hesitation. We are incredibly grateful to Charlie, Eddie, and Stephens Farm Supply for lending a hand when we needed it most.

We are excited to announce that we will be opening up our Olive Hill branch. We will have a celebration to break in the new location the right way, stop in and enjoy some light refreshments with us and have some fun. We can't wait to see everyone again, and hopefully some new faces also.

🦇 Bedtime for Bats! 🦇

Join us at Carter Caves State Resort Park on October 3rd, 2026, at 6:30 PM for a special evening celebrating one of our most important cave residents—bats!

In partnership with Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, we’ll have special technology set up to observe bats as they begin entering Saltpeter Cave for the winter. Kentucky Wild will also be joining us!

We’ll learn about the bat species that call Carter Caves home, their important role in our ecosystem, and how they survive the winter months.

We’ll also have a paid bat-themed craft and event stickers available while supplies last!
