The Olive Hill Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome Sasha Colette & The Magnolias to the 2026 Olive Hill Homecoming & Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4th!

Bringing their signature blend of Appalachian Rock and Soul, Sasha Colette & The Magnolias deliver a powerful performance packed with passion, grit, and unforgettable energy. Described as “Appalachian Rock and Soul slathered in love, murder, and cat calls,” their music is as unique as the hills they call home.

Joined by bandmates Mike Parker, Doug Woodard, MacLean James, and Steve Barker, Olive Hill’s own Sasha Colette commands the stage with powerhouse vocals and a magnetic presence. Drawing inspiration from legends like Mick Jagger, Aretha Franklin, and Patty Loveless, Sasha brings a sound that is both deeply rooted and refreshingly original.

Fresh off the release of their latest EP, Back in Business, Sasha Colette & The Magnolias are making their mark across Appalachia—and we’re thrilled to have them as part of this year’s celebration!

Get ready for an unforgettable performance on July 4th as this rising Appalachian power pop band takes the stage and brings their signature blend of catchy hooks, high-energy performances, and honest songwriting to Olive Hill!

Formed in 2025, What’s Up Betsy features Emily Jamison, MacLean James, Emily Shank, and Nathan Robertson—all proud members of the Tri-State region. The band describes their unique sound as “Appa-Pop-Punk-Lachian,” combining infectious energy, heartfelt Appalachian roots, and a fresh modern edge.

Their music celebrates where they come from while delivering the kind of performance that will have you singing along and dancing all night long.

🎉 Chainsaw Artist Announcement #2! 🎉

The Olive Hill Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce our second LIVE chainsaw carving artist joining us for our Independence Day festivities on Saturday, July 4th at The Depot!

🔥 Meet Patrick Barrigar 🔥

Born and raised in Michigan, Patrick never imagined he would become an artist. What started as a simple suggestion from his father eventually led him to pick up a chainsaw for something other than cutting firewood—and it changed his life forever.

Since discovering his passion for chainsaw carving, Patrick has traveled across the country creating incredible sculptures through competitions and custom commissions. Along the way, carving also led him to meeting his wife, Rikki, who now travels beside him as they share in this amazing journey together.

Patrick credits much of his success to his late father, whose encouragement sparked a talent he never knew existed. Although his father passed away unexpectedly during Patrick’s first year of carving, his influence continues to inspire every piece Patrick creates. Patrick also expresses deep gratitude to his wife for taking a leap of faith and embracing the adventure of life on the road in the carving world.

Today, Patrick considers chainsaw carving one of the most rewarding careers imaginable—not only for the art he creates, but for the incredible people and friendships he has found along the way.
