🦅 Recently, Olean Intermediate Middle School hosted its America 250 Celebration!

Students heard speeches highlighting important moments in American history and what makes this country so great, tested their knowledge with some U.S. history trivia, and got to hear some wonderful singing from the school's chorus students. ❤️🤍💙

🍟❤️ Delilah from Washington West was recognized by McDonald's for her creative sculpture of their iconic French fries with a special celebration.

Delilah got a Squishmallows Happy Meal bank, a year's supply of McDonald's French fries, a drink, and a plate of French fry-themed cookies! She also had her picture with her sculpture, hung up at the Olean McDonald's. Congratulations, Delilah! 🎉

📚 Recently, Mr. Schapp's class visited the Olean Public Library, thanks to Mrs. Graves for arranging the tour!

Students saw that our local library offers so much more than just books and experienced a ton of stuff, including:

- Exploring the teen room
- Getting their own library cards
- Visit the art show featuring artwork from fellow students
- Meet the library's fish
- Learn about upcoming summer programs
- Learn how to fill out a job application to volunteer or work at the library
- Receive a token to use in the book vending machine

A special thank you to Ms. Sheryl and everyone at the Olean Public Library for giving our students such a great tour! 📖✨

🦅 On Friday, OHS hosted a special America 250 assembly celebrating our nation's upcoming semiquincentennial!

Students put their U.S. knowledge to the test, paid tribute to our veterans, and reflected on the values that unite us as Americans, with each student leaving with a renewed sense of patriotism! Thank you to everyone who helped make this assembly possible, especially the History Department. ❤️🤍💙

🎶 For nearly 40 years, our students have had the opportunity to experience the power of live music through an annual concert sponsored by CA BOCES and performed by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

This year's theme, "Building Harmony," celebrated how music brings people together, fosters understanding, and creates connections across communities.

Thank you to CA BOCES and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra for continuing this tradition and putting on a wonderful show for our students! 🎻🎺

🎶 Olean High School presented "The Sounds of Spring" as the theme for their spring concert, and it was wonderful! The concert was the final OCSD concert performance of the school year, and our students made it a great one!
