The Flash Sale at the Olean Public Library is still going strong! 📚

The tables have been restocked, so there are plenty of great books waiting to find new homes. And with construction beginning next month, the sale will continue until construction starts.

The library has also moved to its fall hours. In addition to Monday to Thursday from 9 to 9pm and Friday from 9 to 6pm, now adding, Saturdays, the library is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., making it a great time to stop in and browse!

And don’t forget about the Flash Sale deal: simply grab one of the blue bags and fill it up with books for only $5! That’s a whole lot of reading for a great price. 📖💙

For the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, the Cattaraugus County Museum and Research Library, last year, released a powerful educational film as part of its ongoing “Our Veterans, Their Stories” project.

Titled “9/11: What a Vet Wants You to Know,” the film brings together the voices of local veterans and community leaders to share their personal reflections and insights on one of the most pivotal days in American history.

Now available for viewing on the museum’s official YouTube channel, the film is designed to support local educators in teaching about 9/11, but it's also open to the public. Museum staff encourage anyone with an interest in history, patriotism, or veterans’ perspectives to explore this valuable resource. (only 16 minute long)

Whether you're an educator, student, or simply someone looking to connect more deeply with the legacy of 9/11, this film offers a moving and educational experience grounded in the voices of our own community.
