🚧 Project Update 🚧

📍U.S. 421 in Greensburg

On or after Monday, June 1, crews will close U.S. 421 between East McKee Street and South Poplar Street to complete a bridge deck overlay project in Greensburg. The sidewalk will also be closed within the project area. U.S. 421 is expected to reopen in mid-July, weather permitting. The detour follows S.R. 46 to S.R. 129 to S.R. 350 to U.S. 421. 📲Additional information is here: bit.ly/4fc0LDo

County Highway has reported several roadways in the northern portion of Decatur County have water running over the roads. If traveling on any roadways please use caution and do not drive through the water. Turn around, don't drown.

Reminder there is a flood advisory for Decatur County until 6:45PM tonight.

..FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...River flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Northern Decatur County in central Indiana...
South Central Rush County in central Indiana...

* WHEN...Until 1145 PM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of Flatrock River near and downstream of
Rushville, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is
imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 246 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated river flooding.
Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 0.5
and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are
possible in the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rushville and Moscow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A moment to honor Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department - Napoleon, IN, 914 Ralph Meyer and all the firefighters nationally who have fallen in line of duty.

Napoleon Volunteer Fire Co., is commemorating the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial weekend. In honor of all firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty, we have Lit the Night up Red. On Sunday, May 3rd our flag will be lowered to half staff and the sirens will be sounded at Noon for Sirens Across America. We ask you take a moment to pause and honor our fallen, 914 Ralph Meyer, along with the firefighters across the country.
