The Old Tappan First Aid Corps is committed to providing superior emergency medical services to the citizens and patrons of the Borough of Old Tappan and its surrounding communities. The Corps strives to maintain the highest level of readiness, enabling delivery of emergency services in a safe, competent, and caring manner. Since 1939, the Corps' 100% volunteer membership has been dedicated to cul

tivating a service culture and promoting operational excellence. In addition to responding to emergencies, the Old Tappan First Aid Corps also organizes and conducts various safety and public education programs throughout the year. Last month, we celebrated the NVOT graduation of several of our members! 🎓

Pictured are Gianna DeMarco, our Training Officer, and Justine Koo, our Captain. These incredible women have been riding with Old Tappan for some time now and have graciously dedicated their time and hearts to caring for our community while helping train the next generation of EMTs. They will be greatly missed as they move on to their next chapter, but we couldn’t be more proud of all they have accomplished and are excited to see what comes next for them.

Also graduating, but not pictured at the ceremony, is member Olivia DiSanti, who faithfully dedicated her time every Friday to ride with us. We cannot begin to express how much we appreciate the time, dedication, and compassion these members have given to our corps and our community.

Congratulations, Gianna, Justine, and Olivia! Thank you for your service, and we wish you all the best in this exciting new chapter. 🚑🚨👏🏽✨🥳🎉

To kick off EMS Week, the Mayor and Council honored two of our very own, Dottie Gillespie and Lynn McIntosh, with a bench dedication at Oakes Park in recognition of their combined 100+ years of volunteer service to the Corps.

Their dedication, compassion, and commitment to our community have touched countless lives over the years — and amazingly, they are both still actively involved with our Corps today.
