Please share with us in bringing the Ghosts Old Shawneetown back to life through images of the past! I recently took a trip down to Old Shawneetown & discovered that although the buildings are gone the town layout really is unchanged. The fences, footings, cornerstones and other landmarks are still intact. Journey with me as I discover 100 year old landmarks and try to make sense out of all these pictures I have found from Shawneetown & the surrounding area!

1941 Howells ran a dept Store in Shawneetown. It later burned in the 60's. The Howells home used to sit across from the Old Shawneetown Court house in what is the park today.
