The food pantry is in need of plastic grocery bags or re-usable bags. If you have any to spare and can bring them to the pantry during our regular hours of 9-11 a.m. Monday and Wednesday, or to the church on Sunday between 9:30 and 11:30 it would be very much appreciated.

UPDATE: Fortunately, there was not much damage that needed to be repaired - mostly just cleaning. Thanks to our awesome church members and some incredible community partners, everything has been cleaned and repaired. The door to the pantry has been replaced and the pantry will be open for business on Wednesday as normal.

It could have been much worse and we are thankful for the prayers and support!

Between Monday evening and Tuesday morning, someone took advantage of a church door that had been left slightly ajar and entered the building. Upon getting inside, they forcibly entered the Food Pantry and took several items. But far worse, they spent a substantial amount of time vandalizing the pantry and the church. There was nothing done that can’t be cleaned or fixed, but still disrespectful of the church and the community we serve.

We are confident that this is a crime of opportunity and will be taking steps to secure the building even more going forward. The police have been notified and a report has been taken with evidence collected.

Please pray for the person or persons involved in this unfortunate incident and - as always -for our wonderful community.
