As we prepare for Okmulgee Homecoming 2026, we want our students, families, alumni, and community to have plenty of opportunities to take part in the celebration.

This year, the Homecoming Parade will be held on Thursday, September 24 at 5:30 p.m. Moving the parade from Friday to Thursday allows our football players and Homecoming Queen candidates additional time on Friday to adequately prepare for Friday night’s game and Homecoming festivities. It also gives our community the opportunity to enjoy the parade and then continue the celebration at the Homecoming Block Party from 6:30–9:00 p.m. at Harmon Stadium.

On Friday, September 25, we’ll begin the day with our All-School, Alumni & Community Pep Rally at Harmon Stadium at 9:00 a.m. Gates will open at 8:00 a.m. Friday evening, the Bulldogs take the field for the Homecoming football game at 7:00 p.m., with Homecoming Court festivities at halftime.

If you are interested in entering a float in the parade, please contact Kylie Husbeck at [email protected] or 918-758-2075 ext. 3144. The fee is $10 per float.

If you are interested in having a booth at the Homecoming Block Party, please contact Kindrik Cunningham at [email protected] or ext. 3142.

Last week’s win over Okemah was a great night for our team, but what stood out most was everything that happened beyond the scoreboard.

We love this game. We love the competition, the preparation, the friendships, the challenges, and the opportunity to step on the field and give everything we have. Every game is a chance to grow, learn, compete, and create memories that will last long after the final whistle.

A big part of what makes sports special is sportsmanship. We compete hard, but we respect the opponent standing across from us. We appreciate the effort, toughness, and commitment it takes to play this game. Wins are something to celebrate, but how we carry ourselves while competing is just as important.

And to our fans, THANK YOU! Your support, encouragement, cheers, and belief in these kids mean more than you know. Whether you’re in the stands, following along from home, or cheering us on behind the scenes, you are a huge part of what makes these nights so special.

We’re proud of last week, grateful for the opportunity, and excited to keep working.

It’s Game Day, Bulldog Nation!

The Okmulgee Bulldogs hit the road tonight as they open the season at Okemah. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.

Let’s show up, be loud, and support our Bulldogs as they start the season together. Safe travels to our players, coaches, families, and fans, and best of luck tonight!

The season starts on the road August 28 at Okemah, where the Bulldogs will get their first real test under the Friday night lights.

For Okmulgee, the early focus will be on ex*****on, winning the line of scrimmage, communicating, finishing drives and playing disciplined football from the opening snap.

That standard starts with the senior class. Their leadership will be important as the Bulldogs look to establish their identity, play with confidence and set the tone for the season ahead.

To our Bulldog community,

Saturday night was more than a graduation ceremony. It was a reminder of what makes this community so special.

Thank you to every family member, friend, teacher, staff member, coach, mentor, and supporter who showed up for the Class of 2026. Your presence mattered. Every cheer, every clap, every hug, every photo, and every smile helped create a night our seniors will carry with them long after they leave the field.

To the Class of 2026, we hope you felt it. We hope you looked around and saw just how many people were standing behind you, celebrating not only what you accomplished, but who you are becoming.

Graduation marks the end of one chapter, but Saturday night showed that you are not stepping into the next one alone. You leave with memories, lessons, friendships, and a community that will always be part of your story.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog.
