We need your help identifying two subjects suspected of theft from Walmart. A male and female attempted to use an unauthorized check to purchase merchandise from Walmart on 08/06/26 at around 7:45am. We realize the picture of the vehicle is grainy due to the time of day the picture was captured. These two subjects may have ties to the area of Pottawatomie County. If you can identify either of these two, please call Det. Cantrell at 918-756-3511, reference case 26-000872. Please share with friends and family. As always we appreciate any and all help provided by the community.

🚨 **PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: BEWARE OF SCAM CALLS** 🚨

The Okmulgee Police Department has been made aware of a phone scam involving individuals falsely claiming to represent our agency.

Scammers are contacting residents and telling them that a family member or friend has recently been arrested and that money is needed immediately to post bond or secure their release. They may pressure you to act quickly and ask for payment over the phone or request your personal or banking information.

**Please remember:**

* The **Okmulgee Police Department will NEVER call you to request money over the phone** for the bond or release of an arrested individual.
* **Never provide your personal information, banking information, credit card numbers, or other financial details** to anyone over the phone unless you have independently verified who you are speaking with.
* Scammers often use fear and urgency to convince people to act without thinking. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately.

If you are unsure whether a call is legitimate, contact the Okmulgee Police Department directly using our official, publicly listed phone number before taking any action.

Please help us protect our community by sharing this information with your family, friends, and especially elderly loved ones, who are often targeted by these types of scams.

Attention Okmulgee:

After a delay from the weather, The 16th Annual City of Okmulgee Fireworks Extravaganza has been rescheduled for this evening July 5th. Food vendors will be available starting at 7pm, leading up to the Fireworks show at 10pm. There will be a Water slide, bounce house and free give away booth set up for children.
Please bring your chairs and blankets to enjoy the park with your family and friends.

District Attorney Carol Iski makes the following announcement.

An approximately two-year undercover operation culminated this week with multiple arrests. June 24 and 25th, 2026 the District 25 Drug Task Force conducted a roundup of defendants charged as part of that operation. Twenty individuals were charged in 66 separate cases ranging from Distribution of a Controlled Substance to Trafficking of a Controlled Substance to Possession of Firearm After Former Felony Convictions. The drugs involved are methamphetamine and fentanyl. 14 individuals were arrested and four search warrants were executed during the round-up. Six of those arrested were for charges unrelated to the undercover operation.

Those arrested in relation to the undercover operation are:

Dennis Humphrey
Robert Mackey

Those arrested on unrelated drug charges are:

Aaron Perry
Joseph Reason – Tribal Charges
Bobby Swayze
Melanie Krigbaum

Those arrested on other charges are:

Harold Ware
Natilie Burk
Scott Miller

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are pending. Assisting with the roundup operation were the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office and the Okmulgee Police Department.

The Okmulgee/Mcintosh County District 25 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force would like to the thank the cooperative efforts from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies that all came together and assisted. Without their role in this complex investigation, the success we saw last week would not have been possible.

Agencies such as the Okmulgee and Henryetta Police Departments, The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office, The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, District 27 Drug Task Force, The Muscogee Nation Lighthorse, Eastern District FBI office, The ATF and the DEA all came working together to make our community safer.
