Labor Day is, at its heart, a recognition of work—the dignity of it, the people who do it, and the contribution each person makes to something larger than themselves. That makes this a particularly appropriate weekend to recognize the tremendous variety of work being done every day across ODVA.

Whether it is a housekeeper making one of our Veterans Homes feel like a home; a maintenance professional keeping our facilities safe and operating; a patient care assistant, nurse, dietary professional or other member of our Homes team caring for veterans; managing our inventory, finances or administrative support; connecting veterans and their families with the benefits they have earned; ensuring education and training programs are worthy of veterans using their GI Bill benefits; or serving in Memorial Affairs and ensuring our veterans receive the dignity and final honors their service earned—their work matters.

Different jobs. Different places. One mission. Veterans First.
