Special Friends of Ralph Ellison Library The purpose of the SFREL is to maintain an association of persons interested in the special needs of Ralph Ellison Library.

This library is named for the late Ralph Ellison, author of the highly acclaimed Invisible Man, who was born in and grew up in Oklahoma City in 1914. As much as this library is an information resource, it is the main center of community activities for Northeast Oklahoma City.
