REMINDER: There's a free landfill day tomorrow, Saturday, September 12.
WHEN: 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
WHERE:
* East Oak Landfill – 3201 Mosley Rd. (NE 36th Street, east of Sooner Road, south side of street)
* Oklahoma City Landfill – 7001 S. Bryant Ave.
* Oklahoma City Waste Disposal, Inc. – 7600 SW 15th St.
* Northeast Landfill – 2601 N. Midwest Blvd. Spencer, OK (only construction and demolition materials at this landfill)
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
OKC residential trash customers - this includes all customers who pay a monthly trash service bill with the City of Oklahoma City.
WHAT TO KNOW:
* Customers must present a photo ID along with an original, current Oklahoma City Utilities bill (no photocopies accepted), or they may pull up a copy of their bill using the My OKC Utilities app on their smartphone or other mobile device.
* Each residential household may drop off one load of household waste using a passenger vehicle or truck up to a one-ton and one trailer up to 16-feet long. Commercial waste haulers are not allowed.
* All regular bulky waste rules apply to Free Landfill Day. Landfills will not accept tires, toxins, electronic waste, appliances containing Freon or other refrigerants, and household hazardous waste, such as car batteries, oil, propane tanks and pool chemicals.
* Business and commercial waste is prohibited.
* If you rent a home and your utility bill is paid by your landlord, you need to bring proof of rental and proof of payment to the OKC Utilities account affiliated with your address to participate.
* OKC residents who live in apartments are not eligible to participate since their trash services are provided by a private waste hauler through their complex.
