The District 1 team were honored to attend the grand opening of Inside These Walls: The History of the Freedom Center, a powerful new exhibition celebrating the legacy of Oklahoma Cityโ€™s Freedom Center and the impact it has had on generations of leaders, advocates, and changemakers.

This exhibit highlights the stories, courage, and contributions of the young people and community members who helped transform the Freedom Center into a catalyst for hope, opportunity, and progress. We are grateful for the opportunity to support and celebrate an institution that has played such an important role in preserving our history and inspiring future generations.

Congratulations to everyone who helped bring this exhibit to life.

Commissioner Jason Lowe enjoyed attending the season opening of the Saving Our Youth (SOY OKC) Summer Basketball Program! This community initiative offers youth in NEOKC a safe, productive, and engaging space every Friday night at Christ Temple Community Church.

Commissioner Lowe is proud to support efforts to provide kids with opportunities to connect and thrive during the summer. Having Safe places like this is crucial, as it helps ensure that children are less likely to come into contact with the justice system.๐Ÿ€โœจ

As one of the only law libraries in Oklahoma that is open to the public, the Oklahoma County Law Library is an important resource for our community.

Located on the 2nd floor of the courthouse, the library offers helpful legal forms for things like divorce, name changes, guardianships, and paternity cases. It also provides notary services and legal resources to help people find information about the law.

Please note that services are cash only. Whether someone needs legal forms, research materials, or guidance on where to find legal information, the library is a valuable resource for residents throughout the community. ๐Ÿ“šโš–๏ธ
