Western Heights Public Schools

Western Heights Public Schools This is the official page of Western Heights Public Schools, a small independent school dis Athletes compete annually on the state level.

Western Heights Public Schools is a small independent school district located on the southwest side of Oklahoma City. Our 3,600+ students are housed in four elementary (PK-4) buildings, one intermediate school (5-6), one middle school (7-8), one 9th Grade Center (9) and one high school (10-12). The District is small enough for us to know our students and large enough to provide exciting opportunit

ies for the staff and students. For example, Western Heights has implemented a tremendous technology initiative. Teachers, parents, and administrators operate on a continual school improvement process. Site level teams identify indicators of student success and areas which need attention. Plans are continually monitored and revised to correspond to student needs. Western Heights provides accelerated classes, honors classes, remedial classes, an inclusive special education environment, alternative school, School to Work initiatives, NJROTC, athletics, and a variety of clubs and after school activities. The district is well known throughout the State of Oklahoma for its outstanding vocal and instrumental music programs.

Congratulations to Oklahoma's outstanding students who have been recognized through the 2026 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program!

This year, 12 Oklahoma students were named U.S. Presidential Scholars, one of the nation's highest honors for graduating seniors. Their achievement reflects exceptional academic success, leadership, and dedication both inside and outside the classroom.

Gianni Enriquez-Romero, Mallory Sepulveda, and Elizabeth Yue were named semifinalists for the U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts, while Simardeep Singh was recognized as a semifinalist for the U.S. Presidential Scholars in Career and Technical Education.

These students showcase the many ways Oklahoma learners excel, whether through academics, the arts, or career and technical education. Their accomplishments are a testament to their hard work, the support of their educators and families, and the opportunities available in schools across our state.

Join us in celebrating these remarkable students and their outstanding achievements!
