April 10th 2026 was State Selection Day!!! Our amazing ten Finalists went through two grueling rounds of panel interviews and on the spot questions. Every single finalist is qualified to represent the state of Oklahoma The Teacher of the Year will be announced at the Gala on June 5th, 2026. Here are a few highlights from the day.

On Friday,our amazing Finalists were at the Hodge for Orientation. OEA fed them like queens, and everyone wanted to meet them. A time was had!!!
Superintendent Fields stopped by and chatted with us, ads well as Dr. Stephanie Canada-Phillips, 2008 Oklahoma State Teacher of the Year.
Thank you to OEA for catering lunch and breakfast.
Thank you to HTeaO for the tea, we supposed all day!!!
