You can run, but you can’t hide from Air-1. 🚁

Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office deputies were trying to serve a warrant on a suspect wanted on child po*******hy charges when he took off on a motorcycle and then tried to run on foot. That’s when our officers were called in to help.

Air-1 kept eyes on him from above while officers on the ground closed in, and it didn’t take long. He’s behind bars now thanks to some solid teamwork!

Authorities alongside OKCPD’s Air-1 is on the scene in Northeast Oklahoma City searching for a suspect that led police on a pursuit and took off on foot in the area.

We’ve been seeing versions of this going around, so here’s your heads up.

If you get something like this in the mail, take a closer look before you act!

Scammers are getting better at making these look official, but there are usually red flags. Mismatched agencies or locations, vague case details and multiple violations bundled together with no specifics.

The urgency is the biggest giveaway. Threats about court action or your credit are meant to push you into paying fast. And that QR code? That’s sending you to a fake payment site.

Our officers see people get caught up in these all the time. If something feels off, slow down and verify it through a legitimate source before you pay anything! 🤝🏻

Our officers arrested a TV station employee accused of secretly recording coworkers inside a dressing room at their own workplace.

Hidden cameras were discovered inside private dressing areas at News 9, capturing images and videos of employees without their knowledge. Using activity logs and timestamps, we were able to narrow down the suspect, who worked at the station and had access to the equipment.

He is now facing complaints related to secretly recording people in a private place and is no longer employed by the station. 🙏🏻

Police say a television employee has been arrested after an investigation revealed hidden cameras found inside a dressing room at a media outlet.

🚨 Sergeant Terry G. Lawson — EOW: April 21st, 1977

Sergeant Lawson was accidentally killed in a training exercise. As veteran officers were training rookies in felony traffic stops, "blanks" were used to increase the realism. Sergeant Lawson was shot one time at close range. Lawson was rushed to the hospital where he died a short time later.

Gone but never forgotten! R.I.P. Sergeant Lawson.

April 19, 1995, is a day we will never forget.

168 lives were taken in an act of domestic terrorism that left a lasting impact on our community and far beyond.

In the moments that followed, our officers and fellow first responders ran toward the devastation, doing everything they could to save lives and bring order to the chaos.

Today, the 168 who were killed, those who survived and those who were changed forever.

We honor the courage shown that day and the lasting strength of this city.

A shooting suspect made it to Oklahoma, but our officers made sure she didn’t get any farther.

Working with the Wichita Police Department, we tracked down and arrested a 16-year-old suspect connected to a shooting that left two people wounded.

Kansas Investigators say she confronted an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl in a parking lot and shot both of them before running to Oklahoma to escape. We were able to locate her in OKC, and she is expected to be returned to Wichita on two counts of aggravated battery. 🙏🏻

WPD confirmed the arrest of a 16-year-old girl in connection with a shooting reported Sunday afternoon in northeast Wichita.

🚨 Chief G. W. Jackson — EOW: April 12th, 1898

Chief Jackson was serving as the "Night Chief of Police" when he responded to a brawl at a rooming house on West Second Street. While trying to stop the fight, the half drunk men started shooting. Jackson was shot and died two weeks later. A subject was arrested and served time for the killing. It was reported that citizens lined the streets of the procession to Fairlawn Cemetery.

After our officers responded to a domestic situation in southwest OKC on Wednesday night, an armed suspect refused to cooperate, leading to a gunfire exchange and an hours-long standoff.

After evacuating the neighborhood, officers were able to get the suspect — 35-year-old Charles Ray Henry, Jr. — to surrender and turn himself in. 👏

Thankfully, no officers or bystanders were hurt during the gunfire exchange. Amazing work, blue!

A suspect is in custody after an hours-long standoff situation that started Wednesday at a southwest Oklahoma City home escalated to gunfire being exchanged.

It's tough day for Oklahoma law enforcement.

We’re keeping Trooper Vernon Brake’s family and the men and women of Oklahoma Highway Patrol in our prayers after today’s tragedy.

We stand with OHP and everyone grieving alongside them.

It is with deep sorrow the Oklahoma Highway Patrol announces the line of duty death of Trooper Vernon Brake.

On April 8, 2026, at 11:27 a.m., a vehicle traveling southbound on I-35 lost control for an unknown reason and crossed the center cable barrier. The vehicle struck Trooper Brake, who was traveling in the northbound lanes just south of Hefner Road in Oklahoma City.

Trooper Brake was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other involved vehicle, along with a four-year-old passenger, were also pronounced deceased at the scene.

Trooper Brake was a graduate of the 56th OHP Academy in 2006 and has proudly served the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for nearly 20 years, with a significant amount of time assigned to Troop S (commercial motor vehicle enforcement). After his graduation from the academy, he also served in Oklahoma and Logan Counties.

Trooper Brake is survived by his wife and two children.

Our prayers and deepest sympathies are with his family as well as the family of the other driver involved.

OHP's Traffic Homicide Unit (THU) is conducting the investigation into the crash.

Our officers put two suspects behind bars who were cutting into utility lines to try and cash in on copper. 👀

After an alarm company reported a cut AT&T line in NW OKC, we responded and found one suspect at the scene claiming car trouble, but the tools used to cut the line were sitting in plain sight.

We later learned the vehicle had been at the location before the alarm went off, and the suspect admitted she and a second person had stolen copper together before.

We identified the second suspect and connected him to multiple similar incidents. Both are now facing felony charges tied to the theft and the $20,000 in damage they caused. 👏
