In addition to monthly Neighborhood Meetings and regular Executive Committee meetings to stay updated on everything that's happening in the neighborhood, the Classen Ten Penn Neighborhood Association organizes four neighborhood events every year. In spring, the Classen Ten Penn Neighborhood Association and Gatewood Neighborhood Association team up to hold an Easter Egg Hunt for children in the com
munity. We have toys, games, and a special fluffy guest to entertain them, then thousands of Easter Eggs stuffed with candy are hidden in McKinley Park for the children to find! June marks the annual Classen Ten Penn Neighborhood Festival, bringing together neighbors and organizations around the area to celebrate the revitalization that Classen Ten Penn is experiencing. The festival has attracted artists, musicians, and vendors from all over our amazing neighborhood and beyond. Classen Ten Penn participates in the national Neighbors Night Out in September of every year. The event promotes getting to know your neighbors, and becoming involved in the Neighborhood Association to learn new ways to improve the neighborhood, reduce crime, utilize city services, and beautify the area. Attendees include City Council members, representatives from the Fire, Police, and other City departments, Neighborhood Alliance, and other community organizations. The Neighborhood Association gathers with our partners at Community Action for a neighborhood party to celebrate the holidays in early December. Children's activities, toys, and food are provided and Santa pays a special visit. Join us to celebrate another great year in Classen Ten Penn!
