New world screwworms have been detected in Texas and New Mexico. NWS causes serious, deadly damage primarily in livestock and wildlife.

If you suspect a case of NWS in wildlife, contact a wildlife biologist, game warden, veterinarian or Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry with location, species, date and time seen.
