“Dear Trojan Family,
As I prepare to turn the page to a new chapter in my educational journey, my heart is full of gratitude, pride, and deep appreciation for each of you. While I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead, leaving Douglass is bittersweet. This community has been more than a school to me; it has been a family, and saying goodbye is incredibly difficult.
To my Trojan students
Thank you for letting me be part of your lives. Your energy, resilience, and determination have inspired me every single day. Watching you grow, overcome challenges, celebrate successes, and chase your dreams has been one of the greatest joys of my career. Always remember that you are capable of amazing things. Trust yourself, believe in your strengths, and never stop reaching for the stars.

Thank you for your unwavering dedication to our students and families. Every day, you give your all, often going above and beyond to ensure that every child feels supported, challenged, and cared for. Working alongside such talented, passionate, and compassionate educators has been an honor. You have inspired me, challenged me, and helped me grow as a leader. I would be remiss if I did not extend a special thank you to Principal Kevin Jones. Your mentorship, guidance, and trust have shaped my experience at Douglass in profound ways. Your leadership inspires those around you, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunities and lessons you have shared. I have no doubt that Douglass will continue to thrive under your guidance and maintain its legacy of excellence.
Although I am moving on from my position at Douglass, the memories, relationships, and experiences I have gained here will stay with me forever. This school has been more than a workplace; it has been home. Every student, staff member, parent, and community partner has left a mark on my heart that time can never erase.
