With heavy hearts and sadness, we share that our contract with the state of Oklahoma has been officially terminated, due to statewide budget constraints and ongoing foster family recruitment challenges. Our last day was this past Friday and we sadly had to close our office after serving Oklahoma for 17 months and bringing 8 families into the process to begin their foster care journey. We have notified all our families in process and are assisting them in the transition to other faith-base placement agencies.
For over 80 years, it has been our sacred calling to serve vulnerable children and families through Christ-led foster care. While this chapter may be closing, our mission—to reflect Christ’s love through compassion, service, and advocacy—is far from over.
This decision made at the state level affecting several agencies across the region with other closures. We are deeply proud of the children placed, families supported, and lives forever changed through this ministry.
To our foster families, supporters, churches, OKAG Network, Backyard Orphans, 111 Project, and community partners: Thank you for walking this journey with us. Your love has built a legacy that will last beyond any contract.
Though our role in licensed placements may pause, we remain committed to serving children, equipping families, and advocating for systemic change—through prayer, outreach, and the power of the Gospel.
Please continue to pray for the children in the great state of Oklahoma that are still in need of care, for our staff in transition, and for wisdom as we discern what’s next.
With faith, grace, and peace,
Compact Family Services-OKC
