A little self-care — and a lot of great information. 💗

Women at our OKC Sanctuary Women’s Development Center recently welcomed a team from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine’s Mark Allen Everett Department of Dermatology for a special session on skin, hair and nail health.

A dermatology attending physician, resident and OU medical students shared practical information about skin health, sun protection and everyday dermatologic wellness in an accessible, supportive setting. Twenty women participated and went home with goodie bags filled with personal-care products and sun hats to help put what they learned into practice. The event built on Sanctuary’s focus on simple, healthy habits for everyday care.

We’re grateful to the OU team for sharing their time, expertise and generosity with the women we serve — and for making learning about health and wellness feel a little more like being cared for. ❤️

We love a full-circle story. 💙

Proud to partner with Cristo Rey Oklahoma City Catholic High School — and especially proud to see former CWS students return to Catholic Charities as colleagues. What begins as an opportunity can become a calling, a career and a way to serve others.

Hope is rolling into OKC tomorrow. 💜

The national People of Hope Museum opens at OG&E Together Square Aug. 28–29, bringing powerful stories of compassion, faith and neighbors helping neighbors to the heart of downtown OKC.

Step inside this immersive, 53-foot traveling museum and discover stories that remind us that hope isn’t just something we feel — it’s something we choose to put into action.

And we’re especially proud that one of those stories comes from right here in Oklahoma: Angela Holloway of Catholic Charities’ Woodward office is featured in the national exhibit.

We’re getting closer! 💙

This morning, Angela Holloway, Director of our Woodward regional office and one of the storytellers featured in the national People of Hope Museum, joined Living Oklahoma on FOX 25 to share a preview of what’s coming to Oklahoma City next week!

Angela’s story is one of 42 firsthand stories from Catholic Charities staff and volunteers across the country featured inside this immersive traveling museum — stories of compassion, service and how lives are changed when we choose to show up for one another.

Thank you to Living Oklahoma and KOKH FOX 25 News, Oklahoma for helping us share this special experience with our community!
