ASTEC Charter Schools

ASTEC Charter Schools ASTEC is a free PreK-12th grade public school open to all located in Oklahoma City. Enroll today! https://linktr.ee/astec_k12?utm_source=linktree_admin_share

ASTEC has created a community environment for its student scholars and families. All students are required to take 9-weeks of Character Education, Manners, and Etiquette. We have a culture of high expectations and respect for diversity. We provide for the needs of our families through our clothing closet, our food pantry, and for family and student counseling. The culture of the school has created

a place where students feel safe and cared for. The consistent positive behaviors of our student scholars is a testament to the success of the model we have created. Students are accepted on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Existing students and their siblings are given enrollment priority. ASTEC has a high retention rate among our students, making most openings in the 6th grade. For the new elementary school, we expect our new students will be mostly in Pre-K after this first year.

ASTEC Senior Clapout is Bittersweet. 💛🖤

One final walk through the halls of ASTEC Charter Schools as scholars.

Some scholars decorated their caps with meaningful messages — thanking parents and family members, expressing hopes and dreams for the future, highlighting favorite hobbies and interests, sharing inside jokes, showcasing personal style, and reflecting the unique personalities that make each scholar who they are.

Then came the final cap toss in the parking lot… and just like that, it was over.

The ASTEC Class of 2026 will always hold a special place in our hearts as the last graduating class in Shepherd Center before ASTEC Secondary School and Central Office move to our new home on General Pershing Boulevard, on the Deskin Campus next to the elementary school built in 2020.

We will miss you and wish you the very best! We hope you keep us updated on your journey and achievements ahead — because we know there will be many.

Congratulations, ASTEC class of 2026! 🎓

🎓 ASTEC Scholars Recognized Among Oklahoma’s Outstanding High School Graduates! 🎓

ASTEC Charter Schools proudly celebrates four exceptional scholars who have been named Outstanding Oklahoma High School Graduates: Litzy Garcia-Martinez, Manuel Martinez-Jimenez, Jarvin Santizo, and Marisol Vicente-Coyote!

These outstanding scholars will soon be featured in a full-page advertisement in The Oklahoman, recognizing their achievements alongside top graduates from across the state.

Their recognition comes as new research from the Oklahoma Center for Education Policy highlights the strong impact of Oklahoma’s in-person charter schools, finding that charter schools deliver positive student outcomes, especially for scholars from low-income backgrounds.

At ASTEC, we are proud to see our scholars’ hard work, perseverance, and success reflected both in statewide recognition and in the meaningful outcomes achieved by charter school students across Oklahoma.

Congratulations, Litzy, Manuel, Jarvin, and Marisol! Your ASTEC family is incredibly proud of you! 🖤💛
