Today the OKARNG Chaplain Corps executed our annual sustainment training. A big thank you to the OKARNG Aviation for allowing us to train with the Chinook and Blackhawk elements. We conducted field services, and trained on casualty notifications, memorial ceremonies and memorial services. A big thank you too Opaa, Shelly Lindsey, Chasity Cypert, and Julie Vanpool for all their work in supporting us with an incredible lunch.

This month, we would like to honor the 160th UMT: CH J. Smith, CC (1LT) Walker, CC (2LT) Johnston, and SPC Huerta.

In garrison or in the field, they make sure their Soldiers have multiple opportunities to worship. They host devotional and chapel services. CH J. Smith once went out of his way to accommodate Charlie Battery by getting up early and offering a sunrise service in the field.

We commend their hard work and dedication. Thank you 160th UMT for being exemplary muddy boot ministers.

Unit Ministry Team Highlight: 45th FAB UMT

CH Pacholski, SSG Roland, and CC (1LT) Tuccillo had an intense week long November drill. They utilized the time wisely to successfully conduct chapel, Su***de Intervention briefs, a Moral/Ethical leadership brief, and the first BSRT event of the year. They even had spare time to set up a resource library for Soldiers of many different religious backgrounds. Their time utilization is to be commended. If you are needing advice on how to coordinate with the S-3 shop to get more Religious Support events on the calendar, this unit ministry team leads the way on scheduling and coordination.

Picture descriptions: Photo 1 is a picture of CH Pacholski preparing for chapel service. Photo 2 is Chaplain Candidate 1LT Tuccillo briefing the Soldiers on Spiritual Fitness. Photo 3 is Chaplain Pacholski and and Chaplain Candidate 1LT Tuccillo giving a Su***de Intervention Brief. Photo 4 is the resource library put together by SSG Roland.

Happy Veterans Day to all our veterans. I especially want to thank all the Oklahoma Army National Guard Chaplains. From the ones who have been down range many many times to the ones who have yet to deploy. Thank you for being the spiritual guide to our soldiers always ready to strengthen, encourage, pray and support the soldiers of the OKARNG.
