Friends of the Oklahoma Capitol Friends of the Capitol is involved in a variety of fundraising activities, each offering a unique and lasting opportunity to our donors.

We offer engraved pavers, books from Oklahoma authors and post card and poster collections.

The big board outside the southeast entrance has been updated. Less than 100 windows to go before they are all fully restored.

After the original stained glass in the saucer dome was removed to make way for the new Capitol dome, it was crated and put in storage. As part of the restoration project, most of it will be re-integrated into the Capitol on the Ground floor.

The granite seals on the upper plaza are getting a facelift as part of the project. They have been given a texture to prevent slipping and the depressions are being painted to make them more readable.

Scaffolding is coming down on the south facade of the Capitol. The restored limestone looks fantastic!

The restoration of the Oklahoma State Capitol continues. You will like the renovated west entrance.

The Capitol is undergoing a $245 million restoration process that will be completed in 2022. The building has electrical, structural and plumbing problems that need to be corrected.

Construction on the Secretary of State's office is wrapping up. They move in on Monday.

Perfect weather today to coincide with the cleaning and waxing of Allan Houser's sculpture "As Long as the Waters Flow" at the state Capitol. Thanks to Friends of the Oklahoma Capitol for making it possible for us to continue maintaining the iconic sculpture.
