During the 2026 State of Homelessness Address, Key to Home presented the 2026 Point in Time Count, which showed a 16% decrease in veteran homelessness in Oklahoma City. The progress highlighted the impact of collaboration, supportive services, and housing initiatives across our community.

At Dorset Place, we are proud to support veterans who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness by providing stable housing and community support. The property currently houses 33 veterans, with space for 37 residents.

We remain committed to expanding opportunities, strengthening stability, and honoring the service of our veterans through housing and community support.

Last week, OCHA gathered with UCO Collective for the Greater Good and a few of our residents to discuss ideas and feedback on how residents can use their voices to build stability and self-sufficiency while creating strong partnerships within and for their own communities.

Residents were very excited to be part of the "Healthy Communities and Resident Engagement" initiative, in hopes of bringing more empowerment to residents and building stronger, more connected communities.

Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) resident meetings were held this week at Oak Grove, where residents gathered with excitement and curiosity to learn more about the future transformation of their community. These meetings provided an opportunity to share updates, answer questions, and discuss the next chapter for one of OCHA’s largest family communities.

Oak Grove is located just west of Interstate 44, south of Southwest 15th, and is home to more than 900 residents, including over 550 young people. After converting the property from public housing to Section 8 affordable housing, OCHA and Community Enhancement Corporation will renovate the property, including expansion of the community center and Head Start facility. OnCue is also expected to build an adjacent commercial development featuring fresh grocery and job opportunities for residents.
