Dr. Bigpond extends an open invitation to all that would like to witness this ceremony. Covenant Harvest ministries is located at 722 N Hodge, Sapulpa, OK. Pastor Betty Pulver will organize this ceremony.

I absolutely love this journey of sharing the stories of the phenomenal people and organizations I’m blessed to serve alongside and link arms with!

Yesterday was busy! Filled with a speaking engagement and a funeral, so I didn’t get the opportunity to make a video—but I couldn’t let Day Eight pass without telling you about my incredible friends, Melvin and Tammeria Battiest, and their nonprofit, Native Wings Like an Eagle.

Melvin spent 37 years in prison, so he understands firsthand the challenges people face when returning home after incarceration. Together, he and his beautiful bride, Tammeria, started this organization to bridge a critical gap in reentry support for our Indigenous friends.

Native Wings Like an Eagle helps enrolled tribal members of federally recognized tribes navigate life after incarceration. They assist with essential needs such as stable housing, food resources, employment opportunities, and the everyday support needed to rebuild a life.

Their work is rooted in culture, compassion, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges Native Americans face within the legal and prison systems. Their mission helps prevent homelessness, recidivism, and su***de by giving returning citizens a strong and stable foundation.

I absolutely love partnering with them! This is another beautiful partnership where we can share resources, time, encouragement, and love as our friends reintegrate into society. Melvin and Tammeria truly have wings that soar as they love and serve so many!
