🥎 Softball Fans & Drone Pilots! 🥎
We are so excited to welcome everyone back to OKC for the College Softball World Series starting tomorrow! The energy at the complex is unmatched, and we want to make sure everyone has a safe, incredible experience.
To keep the players, fans, and stadium staff safe, the Federal Aviation Administration has established a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) for drones over the area (NOTAM FDC 6/2193):
FAA Website - https://tfr.faa.gov/tfr3/?page=detail_6_2193
Here is what you need to know before you fly:
📍 Where: A 1-nautical-mile radius around Devon Park / the Softball Complex (technically defined as 9 miles east of the Wiley Post VOR, coordinates: 35°31'29"N, 97°27'49"W).
🛑 What: All UAS / Drone flight operations are prohibited from the ground up to 400 feet.
⏰ When: Starting Thursday, May 28 at 8:00am through Friday, June 5 at midnight.
Any drone operations required for safety, security, or compliance oversight must be coordinated and authorized directly through our law enforcement Point of Contact prior to takeoff.
Let’s leave the high-flying action to the athletes on the field! Thank you for helping us keep the skies clear and the ballpark safe.
