OKFAHC supports efforts to improve transparency and help patients better understand prescription costs before they arrive at the pharmacy counter.

Recent calls from Secretary Kennedy and federal health leaders to expand the use of Real-Time Pharmacy Benefit Technology (RTBT) highlight the growing importance of giving patients and providers access to real-time prescription pricing and lower-cost alternatives during the prescribing process.

Improving transparency is an important step, and it will be equally important to ensure these tools are implemented in a way that is easy to use, includes all cost-saving options, and doesn’t create new barriers for patients or providers.

I’m calling on health IT vendors and providers nationwide to adopt prescription price transparency so Americans never face surprises at the pharmacy counter. | 35 comments on LinkedIn

OKFAHC supports Governor Stitt’s veto of SB 1500 and encourages lawmakers to uphold the veto.

Oklahoma patients deserve access to cost-saving tools and discount programs that help lower prescription costs at the pharmacy counter. Policies that limit those options risk increasing costs for families and reducing access to affordable medications.

As healthcare affordability continues to challenge Oklahoma families, we believe protecting consumer access to lower-cost prescription options should remain a priority.
