We are saddened to share the passing of Tom Brown, a dedicated leader who served as Executive Director of United Way of Central Oklahoma from 1992 to 2001.

During his tenure, he led with vision, compassion and a deep commitment to strengthening our community. Tom led us through the 1995 Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing and the May 3, 1999 tornadoes, two very significant and defining events for United Way of Central Oklahoma.

His leadership helped shape the direction of our organization and advance the mission of improving lives across central Oklahoma. We are grateful for his years of service and the legacy he leaves behind.

Our thoughts are with Tom’s family, friends and all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

📚✏️ Make a Difference This Summer—Support Local Students! 🎒❤️
The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma is proud to serve as a drop-off site for the United Way of Central Oklahoma's Day of Action School Supply Drive! 📦✨

You can help set students up for success by donating much-needed school supplies at our administrative office entrance during the following hours:
🕘 Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
🕘 Friday: 9:00 AM – Noon
Every notebook, backpack, and pencil donated makes a real impact. 📝💙 All collected supplies will be provided to United Way for distribution to local students and families—ensuring kids across Central Oklahoma are ready to learn and thrive this school year.
We are honored to be a proud partner agency of the United Way of Central Oklahoma, working together to strengthen our community and invest in our future. 🤝

We are so grateful for our partnership with American Fidelity Careers. 💙 For 13 years, they have hosted our annual Pacesetter Games.

We never tire seeing the bonds that are built on American Fidelity's lawns and over the hotdog dinner generously provided by them.

Join us in thanking their team, as well as our Partner Agencies, The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma Area Command and Variety Care, for providing water and first aid.

We couldn't continue this event without them!

We celebrate Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby and his transformational public service. Under Governor Anoatubby's leadership, the Chickasaw Nation's generosity has benefited nonprofits across Oklahoma.

The Chickasaw Nation's support of our United Way has been especially longstanding and impactful. On behalf of United Way of Central Oklahoma, our Partner Agencies and our community, we thank Governor Anoatubby for his visionary leadership and we send him our best wishes as he enters a new chapter.

We look forward to our continued partnership with our Board member and incoming Chickasaw Nation Governor Chris Anoatubby.

It wouldn't be Pacesetter Games without the team who brings all the energy. Congrats to Arvest Bank for being this year's Spirit Award Winner!

We’re spending the evening connecting with fellow nonprofit partners, building community relationships, and enjoying some friendly competition. As a proud United Way agency, we’re grateful to be part of a network that works every day to make central Oklahoma stronger.
