May is National Electrical Safety Month, and electrical hazards are one of the most serious threats workers face on the job every day. Overhead power lines, energized equipment, and unexpected contact points put workers at real risk, and electrical injuries are among the most severe in any industry. Whether you're on a roof, in a lift, or working near a service panel, always identify what may be energized before you start. Check your clearances, use the right equipment, and never assume a line is de-energized.

Big things are coming to Oklahoma City — and worker safety is part of the foundation from day one. 🏗️

Last week, ODOL’s OSHA Consultation Program joined Flintco -Mortenson JV, and Federal OSHA in signing a partnership supporting construction of the new Thunder arena, officially named Continental Coliseum, with an expected opening for the 2028-29 Thunder season.

This collaboration helps prioritize worker safety through proactive hazard prevention, communication, and partnership throughout every phase of the project.

Proud to support a safe build for one of Oklahoma’s most exciting developments.
