Yo, check it out—I’m tryna put together this move called F.T.K. (Focus Them Kids), and it’s basically the ultimate "best of both worlds" reunion retreat.
You know how usually when we all link up with the kids, it’s just pure chaos? Nobody’s really "parenting," nobody’s really "partying," and we all go home more tired than when we got there? We’re flipping that.
The Vibe: 100% Present, then 100% Lit
The Day Shift: We’re going all in on the "Focus." We’re doing "Intentional Sits"—no phones, just locked in with the kids. We’re teaching them core lessons, running through a solid daily schedule, and getting them active. We’re basically training them (and us) on how a real household rhythm should feel.
The Master Move: We’re mastering the Bedtime Handoff. We’re getting all the kids on that "Bath, Book, Breath" routine at the same time. We’re talking synchronized sleep so we actually get that peace and quiet we’re always chasing.
The Night Shift: Once those kids hit the pillow, it’s Focus on Us. We’re talking grown-folks time. Comedy, music, real talk, and whatever else we need to feel like ourselves again, not just "Mom" or "Dad."
Why we need this:
Most of us are lacking that real structure at home, especially with the bedtime routines. This retreat is like a 5-day bootcamp disguised as a vacation. We’re gonna build that "Village" energy, help the kids get their act together, and then reclaim our night.
It’s about giving them our best so we can give ourselves a rest. Who’s locked in?
