Jane Austen was born on Dec 16, 1775. Though she'd be 250 years old today, her timeless stories continue to delight readers and inspire authors.

For people who may not use the library:

There's a common impression that libraries are only for children and families.

But, libraries actually serve all ages, all stages, all seasons of life. What this looks like may differ depending on the community; we've seen libraries that offer memory cafés, Veteran benefits presentations, caregivers informational sessions, legal aid clinics, social work resources, parenting and health programs, philanthropy topics, & more.

For adults who prefer a quieter and more individual way to use the library, that might mean:
- quiet spaces
- job resources
- reading the news and finance projections
- access to the new and bestselling books
- language learning tools
- asking for guidance on a device or computer issue
- finding new hobbies to enjoy
- community connections

There’s something for you — promise.
