OHPG and volunteers from the Okeene High School Student Council recently concluded the Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Great American Cleanup. This is one of several projects that the students started for our community. Congratulations to Sandy and Robert Boeckman for being the first yard awarded.

Have you seen the new park benches? A special thank you to the Karbs, Seelke, and Luetkemeyer families for this to happen! One was also donated to honor Dr. and Ms. Lagan. We will have plaques with their names on them too. Don’t miss out on your chance to help us grow this project. Contact a board member to find out more.

ALL TREES HAVE SPONSORS. Thank you everyone!

🌿 Help YOUR OHPG Finish The Corner Park 🌿

Our little town may be small, but the pride we have in it is anything but. Thanks to your incredible support, our historic preservation group has already made amazing progress on the new corner park at the 4-way—trees, bushes and flowers are planted, and light poles are going up!

We are especially grateful to the five generous sponsors who have already stepped up to fund our beautiful benches, coming soon. Because of you, this space is already becoming something truly special.

Now, we need your help to cross the finish line. We are inviting community members to sponsor a tree for $350 each. This is a meaningful way to honor a loved one, celebrate a family name, or simply invest in the future of our town. Every tree adds life, shade, and lasting beauty to this shared space. Each will receive a plaque with a dedication.

As we near completion, our funds are running low—but together, we can make this park something we’ll all be proud of for years to come.

If you’d like to donate or sponsor a tree, please message us or reach out to a member of the Okeene Historic Preservation Group - Board - Jeremy Osmus, Tracy Westfahl, Staci Howe, Kenny Westfahl, Guy Smith, Miles Howe, Kenzi Chermack, or Volunteers - Dana Kubat or Diana Karbs .

Let’s come together once again and finish what we started.
