Our office is mourning the loss of Sharon Robertson, who served as Okeechobee County Clerk of Court & Comptroller for 25 years.

Ms. Robertson began her career with the Clerk's Office in 1984 and worked her way up, becoming Clerk in 1995 and later winning election to the role in 1997. She served as Clerk & Comptroller until her retirement at the end of 2020. While she accomplished much over her long tenure, her proudest accomplishment was working with the US Department of State to designate the Clerk’s Office as a passport acceptance facility. Ms. Robertson was the longest serving Clerk in Okeechobee County’s history.

She was proud to serve the people of Okeechobee County and loved her job immensely. We thank her for her many years of service and friendship. Rest in Peace, Clerk Robertson.

In addition to serving as the Clerk, Clerk Jerald D. Bryant also serves as the County Treasurer, Recorder, Auditor, Finance Officer, and Clerk to the Board.
