✨Volunteer Opportunity ✨

Our Senior Nutrition Program ensures 100's of older adults in the Ojai Valley receive fresh, healthy foods, five days a week.

We are looking for extra help, ranging from meal delivery drivers, to kitchen prep, meal service, and even data entry! Shifts range from 2-3 hours depending on the role.

Hi all! In a non great turn of events, the AC at our headquarters is not working. Therefore the front office and Community Assistance Program are closed for the day.

Additionally, the donation center will close early due to the high heat. Our phones are still working and will be answered, so if you have any questions please call 805-646-5122.

Your generosity through the Hunger Bag Program filled our pantry shelves with 7.5 pallets of donated food!

Last year, HELP of Ojai’s food pantry served more than 2,100 neighbors, and donations like this one are what make that reach possible. We’re grateful to Vons Ojai for making it easy to give, and to every customer who chose to pack a little extra kindness into their cart.

A special thank-you to Flora Gardens , whose team and forklift helped us move it all off the trucks and into the pantry. 💛

The need in the Ojai Valley is year-round. If you’d like to support the pantry anytime, you’ll find a donate link in our bio. We also welcome volunteers every other Saturday!

✨Early Closure ✨

The HELP of Ojai Donation Center will close at 12pm today (7/23/26) due to the high heat/ temperature.

If you have items to donate, please attempt to bring them early in the morning to ensure we are open/operating.

Ojai is in for a stretch of high temperatures this week, with an Extreme Heat Watch in effect Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, July 16.

Some of our neighbors are more vulnerable in this weather: infants and young children, older adults, people with health conditions, pets, and anyone without reliable housing or air conditioning.

Our Care Pod is open every Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for free, private showers.

Please take care of yourself by staying hydrated, keeping cool indoors when possible, and avoiding heavy outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day. If you need a cool place to spend the day, the Ojai Library is open as a cooling center until 8 p.m., and the City of Ojai has opened Kent Hall Council Chambers (111 W. Santa Ana St.) as a free cooling center starting Monday, July 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. — daily hours may vary with the weather.

Regarding the donation center: we will not be open to accept donations once the heat exceeds 90 degrees, so please plan to drop off early. We open at 8:30am, Thursday through Saturday; call us at 805-646-5122 to confirm hours this week.
