June is here! It's the month we were waiting for while we were under feet of snow and shivering our way through the darkest days of the year. Now we can slow down and enjoy the sunshine and summer vibes! Make sure you hit the trails and dip your toes in the creeks and enjoy these long days in the Oil Region National Heritage Area!

Today the ORA is celebrating our Heritage Program Manager Abbe Watson-Popescu, shown here at the recent Historic Preservation Awards. In addition to running the heritage program, which includes convening the Heritage Committee, holding the Historic Preservation Awards, administering the heritage mini grants, managing NPS and DCNR grants, and overseeing several historic properties for the ORA, Abbe is also very involved in Titusville's Planning Commission, the Greater Titusville Development Foundation, and the Titusville Hospital Foundation, as well as her kids' school, sports, and extra curricular activities. We're making her take a break from a very busy month to have some cake and celebrate! Happy birthday, Abbe!
