Oil City has a new view!

Today we celebrated the launch of a new EarthCam, proudly located atop the 100 Seneca building in downtown Oil City! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to 100 Seneca for installing the EarthCam and generously hosting it on their building. We’re also grateful to Shawgo Real Estate for helping facilitate the camera and to the America250 grant, which made the purchase possible.

We’re excited to have another way to showcase Oil City to the world and we can’t think of a better weekend to launch it! ❤️

This month, Kat traded her office for the U.S. Army Franklin Recruiting Office to find out what it really takes to serve — from recruiting and training to getting out into the community and connecting with the people who make a difference.

Kat got a firsthand look at the many different sides of Army life, including how recruiters help guide future soldiers, what goes into preparing for service, and the connections the Army makes right here in our community.

And then things took a serious turn upward. ⬆️

For a very special part of this episode, Kat joined the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team for a tandem skydive! That’s right — this episode of Put Kat to Work is taking things to new heights. 🪂 Let’s just say she was willing to jump at the opportunity!

A huge thank-you to the U.S. Army Franklin Recruiting Office and the Golden Knights for giving Kat such an incredible behind-the-scenes look — and for letting her take Put Kat to Work somewhere it’s never been before: 12,500 feet in the air!

Step into history at our next Business After Hours Mixer!

Join the Venango Chamber and Franklin Chamber on Thursday, September 10, from 5–7 p.m. for a special evening hosted by the Venango County Historical Society at the Becoming America 250 Exhibit, located at 200 12th Street in Franklin.

This limited-time exhibit offers a unique look at American history through rare artifacts, beautiful historical paintings and an immersive experience spanning the 17th through 19th centuries.
