Tonight was humbling.
I want to sincerely thank the people of Calhoun County for the overwhelming support, encouragement, prayers, phone calls, messages, handshakes, conversations, and votes throughout this election. I love this county, and it means more than I can properly express to have earned your trust to continue serving as your Sheriff.
I also want to thank my wife, Kristin, my daughter, Greenlie, and my son, Asa. Campaign seasons require a lot of evenings away from home, missed dinners, missed bedtimes, and time that families never get back. They carried that burden with me, and I love them very much for it.
I’m grateful to everyone who stood beside me during this process - - friends, supporters, law enforcement partners, employees of the Sheriff’s Office, and citizens from every corner of this county.
Now that the election is over, I’m ready for things to return to normal. I’m ready to quit talking about myself and get back to focusing fully on the work that matters: supporting the employees of the Sheriff’s Office, serving the citizens of Calhoun County, and continuing to move our agency forward.
Thank you again, Calhoun County. I can't describe how it feels to have your overwhelming approval.
