What These Election Approvals Mean

The referendum questions approved in this election will make a big difference in the learning environment for students.
● Providing funding for learning and important services, such as mental health and technology support, and professional development.
● Investing in infrastructure and long-term maintenance.
● Making improvements to ventilation and dehumidification to classrooms and other student areas.
While we know not everyone voted yes, we believe there is common ground in supporting the needs of our children. We will build on that common ground to ensure that we all move forward together.

● Bid & Award Phase: Spring-Fall 2023
● Construction Phase: Spring 2023 – Fall 2024
● Complete Construction: Fall 2024

Q: How did Ogilvie spend federal Covid relief funding?
A: These funds were essential to our students as they provided for critical improvements to our education, infrastructure, and mental health programming. The federal government strictly regulated how funds could be spent. We spent funds on improvements to educational curriculum, field trips, after-school tutoring, and summer programming. We also were able to reduce our bond levy request by using these funds on student lockers, a school bus, roof repairs, computers, and furniture.
