Ogdensburg Harbor Light

Ogdensburg Harbor Light Page dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the Ogdensburg Harbor Light, Ogdensburg, NY

The Ogdensburg Harbor Light has been a landmark in our community since 1834. Purchased by the Roethel Family in the 1960's it has remained one of the most photographed buildings representing the City of Ogdensburg. We are currently working on some projects for this facility that will be of interest to everyone. The building itself is a private home and is currently not open to the public.

Our family would like to extend our condolences to the family of Betty Cook. Betty was married to John Cook whose father was the lighthouse keeper here when John was a young boy. They would visit us every summer from the Buffalo area. John brought a series of articles, stories and photos of our lighthouse history to preserve those. We are working on compiling those to share with our lighthouse community. Rest in peace Friends.... we'll keep the light on for you.
