Find an animal?

Please remember that by law, all animals must be turned into either Animal Control or the shelter. Any animal found loose and off its property is considered a stray, regardless of ownership.

We understand that many people have good intentions and want to locate the owners on their own, however, we are seeing an increase of found animals not being reported or turned in, which delays reunification. Most owners are checking with Animal Control or the shelter first when searching for their missing pet.

Please help us reunite pets with their families quickly by turning in found animals to the appropriate agency. This will give the owners the best chance of locating their pet safely.

PSA📣:

As the weather becomes more enjoyable, we encourage pet owners to utilize our public parks and trail systems while being mindful of Ogden City ordinances!

Our officers will be patrolling these areas frequently during the summer to verify that ordinances are being observed (as well as 'pet-watching' as we enjoy seeing your animals out and about with you!).

Ogden currently offers public use of two off-leash dog parks within the city (The Fort Buenaventura Dog Park & The Big D Dog Park), all other parks and trails require pets to be leashed.
